WELCOME TO MAMPURAM MAQAM

  • Mampuram Maqam is one of the leading shrines of South India locating near the Kadalundi River in Abdurahman Nagar Panchayath of Tirurangadi Taluk, Malappuram district. It is famous for the tombs of Qutubuzzaman Sayyid Alavi bin Muhammad bin Sahl Mouladdaweela and his family who were an iconic presence in anti-colonial struggles and had a deep-rooted influence in shaping the social, religious and political culture of Keralite Muslims. Heading from Hadhramaut of Yemen, their motherland, with a pursuit of propagating Islam in the Malabar province, they could win the hearts within a short period. As a result, thousands of people irrespective of their religion, race and caste are flocking towards them each and every day.
